For most of us, there are no awards for what we do - which is totally fine, right? Hopefully, whatever work you do both fulfills you and pays your bills! I love my work. Few things give me greater joy than a client’s healing or breakthrough.💖 Nonetheless, it’s also nice every now and then to get a little “Atta girl!”
Today I’m grateful that once again I’ve been selected as one of the Top 3 Hypnotherapy providers in Austin on ThreeBestRated®. It’s not something businesses apply for, but ThreeBestRated® have their standards and provide it as a service to their readership. “All selected businesses undergo rigorous 50-Point Inspection, assessing reviews, reputation, history, price, proximity, and more to ensure excellence.” You can find that listing here.
Being self-employed means I don’t receive an annual performance review from a boss. It’s up to me to continually reflect on how I’m doing and where I can improve. I try to do that in all areas of life, because I’m here to learn and grow. I know at the end of my life my soul will do a life review and I want to make the most of my time here!Ultimately, it doesn’t matter if anyone is noticing because I have to answer to my Self. Of course I also listen to people’s feedback and utilize that to expand my capacity to be of service.
I remember when I first started with hypnosis, I totally relied on using scripts. I had dozens of them printed out and each session I’d be shuffling papers to find the right one. 😄 It’s common to experience Imposter Syndrome when you begin a career. Your tools become a crutch because you don’t think you’re enough.
Thankfully, through trial and error you learn what works and gain confidence and proficiency. Nowadays, I mainly focus on being present with my client and allow the words to come to me as needed. It’s similar to how my spiritual journey has progressed. I used to think I needed to obtain all the right information, whereas now I realize the most important thing is just to embody the love and awareness of my Higher Self and trust that inspired action naturally flows from that state. ✨
Whatever. you do - stay at home parent, hourly job, student, artist, business person - it’s essential to have a feedback system that inspires you and gives you an occasional pat on the back. 🌟 Part of that feedback system is spiritual - energy, words or feelings of love and appreciation from your Higher Self and Spirit Guides. Perhaps take a moment right now to reflect on your work/life journey and how you’ve evolved over time. Have compassion for yourself, acknowledging your own efforts while continuing to develop and improve moving forward. 🦋
So today, I'm grateful for this recognition, not just as an external validation, but as a gentle reminder that I'm on the right path. The best award (reward?) isn't the one displayed on a website - it’s knowing I’ve helped someone transform or find peace. 🪷 It's getting an email from a client months later sharing how their life has changed since our session. What are you grateful for today?
